What is Microchipping?
When a pet is microchipped a small rice grain sized silicone chip is injected under the animal's skin between the shoulder blades.
If you're pet is lost and has been microchipped it can be identified with a scanner.
Most vet clinics, animal shelters and pounds will have them available.
How?
The microchip is injected under the skin between the shoulder blades. This is a simple and normally painless procedure which your veterinarian will do for you.
Some people find it easier to microchip your pet whilst they are under anesthetic when being desexed.
